Hey guys, just picked up a new 2010 TE last night. I am coming from a 2006 Tacoma. Already modified with black emblems and its not even 12 hours old. Icon lift is on the way and wheels/tires are being ordered in the next few days.

Yea I remember you too. I havent been on nazi-nation in a while though, mostly tacomaworld. The wheels/tires I have planned are the Mojave Teflon 17x8 and 285/70-17 BFGoodrich Mudterrains. I like what one of the members has done with his silver 4runner and am going a similar route with the wheel/tire setup.

I picked up a 2010 4x4 for the wife but its just an SR-5 and not a bad a## Trail Edition.

Maybe I will catch up with you at Camp Pendleton in a few years.

It's easy, whole process was about 2 hours including drying time for the paint. FIshing line for the letters on the back. I a plastic putty blade to take off the emblem. For the front, remove the plastic at the front of the engine bay and pop out the emblem from the back. Time to take off the emblems was about 10 minutes

Tinting the front 2 windows tomorrow and throwing a 40 series flowmaster on the next day.

This is what my wife said today (because we traded HER Honda Fit in for the 4runner and was planning on selling my Tacoma and we would be down to one vehicle).

"Why dont we just keep your truck and I keep the 4runner?"

I said, "Well, can I lift the 4Runner and put some wheels/tires and a pair of sliders on it?"

She said "Sure, but its my truck."

I really had nothing else to say so it looks like we may end up keeping the Tacoma but we are still undecided. Have to pass this Hawaii safety inspection first before anything else. What a pain in the ass.

I didnt trade the Tacoma in, I traded my wifes Honda Fit in. I am still stuck in Hawaii. Feels like an episode of Lost sometimes. Vehicle laws here are worse than Commiefornia.

I'm a new 4runner owner (SR5 4x4). Everyone is raving about the Trail Edition. It is awesome. But, I can say the SR5 4x4 is very capable. I will be watching what you do with your new ride and maybe take some queues.
