MSG display on Radio

I have a (MSG) display that shows up on my radio display. It seems to appear when I am listening to the FM radio and not any other radio modes that I have noticed.

Does anyone know what this is? I have looked around, but had no luck.

If your talking about the one that shows up in the bottom right corner, then it is just an informational bit that tells you what song/artist/DJ you are listening to on the FM radio.

If I remeber correctly, you can only view it when the vehicle is stopped, or very close to being stopped.

OK, I know a picture is worth a 1,000 words.
It is the (MSG) in the upper right corner of the display.

It is showing there is RDS (Radio Data System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) information.

Press the TEXT button and the display will show the message. This is usually just the station's call letters, or name.

Some areas transmit traffic information or other emergency info that will show up there.
