I'm wondering the same thing. I flew to Albuquerque from Atlanta last year and as we approached from the north, I noticed on the live map in the plane a peak called Baldy Sandia or Baldy Santa Fe (cant remember which) about 100 miles north of ABQ Airport.

Thought it was a peculiar name.
