MT or AT's size with no lift?

hey guys. was hoping i could get some feedback from you guys.

i know it's not the norm on this forum but here goes.

so i live in florida. i don't do much hard wheeling but i do a bit of light mudding here and there and i go on vacations north a bit where i'd like to bring my truck. since i'm not doing any major wheeling i won't be doing any extreme lifting any time soon. for now, i'd like to know what size MT's or AT's i can fit without lift so that when i do go mudding or on vacation to TN etc. i can have an extra set of wheels and tires to throw on. eventually i'dd probably lift with springs and shocks about 3 inches but for now this is the information i need.

also, pictures would be lovely

i just don't want to be one of those posers that live around here with like 16 inch lifts and 36 inch tires who never see any action.

You should be able to run 265/75-16 with little rubbing even when wheeling.

You can go up to a ~32" tire. Basically 265/75/16 or 265/70/17.

265/75/16 is going to be the biggest you can put on stock. I'm 2wd and just had a set of 265/75/16 Dynapros put on and they fit without rubbing (on road mind you).

looking at definity dakota MT's cheap considering they're probbly gonna go on spare tires and hardly see use, and they have good reviews.

also considering this. road noise is my only concern and it's not even that big of a deal. i may end up running these daily if they're comfortable enough and fit without rub. then eventually i can lift a couple inches.

some a-hole hit and ran me in my driveway recently so i'm going to do the repairs before purchase which will be expensive, i'll post a thread now with pics

More on road that offroad-Michelin LTX A/T, Bridgestone Revo, and Nitto Terra Grappler.

More offroad- Goodyear DuraTrac, BFG T/A KO.

Well im running the all terrain 265/70/16 of those that I just recently purchased from Pepboys. It was an awesome deal for $545 out the door after tax with road hazard warranty and the alignment.

I'm runnin a 265/75/16 MT tire and this May will be the same ones for two years, driving 40 mins a day for work. Love them Kumho Road Venture MT KL71

Well worth the $. Course then was getting them wholesale at $145. $180 now maybe?

As others have said, 265/75/R16 is the size you want for a stock truck or one with a slight lift.
