My brothers bought the Husky ones for me. I haven't installed them yet, though. Just got them Saturday afterall.

I saw that posted somewhere (maybe by you). It is supposed to warm up this weekend. Seems like a wash and mud guard install is a good way to ring the new year.
 
It took me all of 10 minutes to install my Husky's. I am not doubting that it is easier to remove the rear wheels but I think it will take longer to do that as long as you have the right tools. By that, I mean a stubby ratcheting phillips. These are so easy to install that I will remove them a few times this winter just to wash behind them :fro:

Mind posting pics on your stock (i assume) BP SR5?

These are the only ones I have that show them. I took them yesterday after the storm but will take some more tomorrow if you want...

Here's why I took the rear wheels off: Using the oem screws, there are only 3 that match with the shape of the mud flap which, imo, left it a little loose towards the inside. So, I added a fourth screw as shown.

Ordered the Husky's today from Amazon based on y'alls feedback, hopefully the install is as smooth as predicted.

I can't stand to see that snow / salt mixture slung up on the side of the new ride!

Makes sense...maybe Husky only put 3 points of attachment so you didnt have to take the rear wheels off...I dont have any problems with mine but never hurts to have extra protection :D
 
I ordered a set of huskys today too from SVCustoms. $60 and I googled for a coupon code and found one on some tundra forums to save $3. :D
 
Kevin - looks like they keep some of the muck off the side of the vehicle pretty well. I'm jealous of the tires.

Phil - Interesting. I'll probably do the 4th screw, too.
 
Has anyone else had a problem with the Husky mud guards getting pulled off in a car wash? I checked and double checked mine for proper install but when I took the vehicle through my regular car wash, it pulled them right through the holes in the plastic bumper and scratched the bumper when it sprung back against it. It tore the holes in the bumper or fender liner where the top 2 screws are located and has to just be patched hopefully. Scratched up bumper will require paint. $800 is the first estimate from the dealer (courtesy of the car wash).

Anyone else had this problem?
