Something I was pondering about for some time now why do some SUV and truck companys use narrow tires and many of us put wider ones on our rigs for off road?
For ex. Land Rover often runs a not so wide tire on the Camel Trophy trucks ever though they go threw some nasty mud and real rough areas. But most custom built trucks and Jeeps will have big wide mud tires.
Is it better to run a wide tire in deep mud? to decrease the weight per sq. inch on the trail? or do you want to dig down with a thinner tire?
I would think the Camel Trophy trucks would do better with some wide tires like some "Interco TSL's"
What do you guys think??
