muddy headlights

Today, I'm sure as most others in CA, was a great day for mud.

So after my little escapade, I noticed my right headlight has a little mud in it and the lens is foggy from inside...

How do I clean that?

thanks!

today? i thought that was yesterday! best bet would be to just rinse them out w/ some distilled water or something that won't leave hard water spots. or you can of course take them apart for a good cleaning.

How should I get the water in there? Should I removed the headlight bulb and just pour in some arrowhead or something? lol

you know what, I went under the hood and I guess the little rubber thing on the end of the headlght bulb wasn't really all the way sealed.. so I removed the headlight bulb and tucked away the harness. I then poured 2 bottles of arrowhead in and the went for an eratic spin :D

it swished around all the mud and then I used a combined technique of hitting the brakes real fast in reverse then to gunning it up hills :)

aside from a few droplets yet to dry, it's nice and sparkley now :)

thank you for the distilled water idea. It was a lot of fun.
