Multiple questions - Spark Plug and Cabin Air filter replacement

Hey guys,

Can somebody explain how to change the spark plugs and cabin air filter on a 98 ltd 4runner? Pics would be extremely helpful as I have never done this before.
Also whats the best spark plugs that I can get for 98.

The air filter is easy because there isn't one. NGK #BKR5EKB-11 plugs and #TE66 wires or Denso #K16TR11 plugs and #671-6182 wires. Both are OEM and do not use anything but these dual-electrode plugs!!! This should answer most of your future questions, but I would ask that you search a little next time, this info is heavily covered.

spark plugs, you just go buy some new denso dual electrode plugs, take the old ones out, put some anti seize on and put the new ones in. There is not cabin filter to replace but you can clean the blower fan if you want. its usually gets dirty in there.

I called some local mechanic just to get a quote on spark plug change and he said $100 + $60 for the plugs. Now I can do it myself and save that $100.

i got the plugs for $3 each at my local dealer. just gotta call around.

Yeah, I can do plugs in ~20 minutes and also buy them for <$20 for all 6 and the wires for about $35. So $60 for plugs and wires w/ tax (or shipping).

I got NGK platinums for $36. That mechanic is a rip-off.

Whew, what a relief. But, now it sorta makes sense. I keep the vent open all the time and I get all kinds of smells from the outside. I should close it. But, alas, I'm weird like that.
