I also looked through this thread 3x over because I thought someone mentioned a specific type of clear front windshield UV protectant but I couldn't find the post. Does anyone have any more information on this or what you should be paying for it?

If near scottsdale, call cactus tint . They do great work. But you pay for what you get with tint.

I use these in my '17 TRDORP. They are the best bang for the buck. JDMAstar is good company and all orders get free shipping to the US. They are WAY brighter than stock but won't completely blind someone behind you.

If you want to light up the dark side of the moon, also add the DD Tail and Turn module. Then swap your turn signal bulbs for JDMAstar 7440 white LEDs. At that point your total lumen output would be around 5000 lumens. Personally I think its overkill and could be dangerous to whose behind you while parking.

1) Aren't you concerned with the glove box organizer from preventing you from storing an owners manual, or any manuals at all for that matter?

My owners manual which also includes the insurance card is under the driver side rear seat. It fits perfectly under it and the seat still latches down.

Well ok, I do have a Mag Safe 3 ready to go once I get some other cargo area organization done and an overhead locking rifle rack installed.

This is what I had setup in my Tahoe before trading it in on the 4Runner..

For the 4Runner I want to do something similar to this..

But I'm waiting to post anything about it until I get it completed...

I had a local shop install the Johnson InsulatIR 85 nano-ceramic tint on the windshied. Amazing stuff, I instantly felt the reduction in heat (IR) and it claims 99% UV blockage. Good stuff. Takes a bit of getting use to the psychedelic effect created when wearing polarized sunglasses though,, but after a while you hardly notice it.

So what's up with the "rear bumper cup holders" people keep mentioning? Is that a joke? I don't see anything on google for these...

Also, I am interested in Backup rear LED upgrade and LED interior light swap, but it looks like certain interior sockets are actually not any brighter no matter what kind of bulb you put in them and also there seem to be some reliability issues and early failures... I am really not interested in experimenting with this shit, so if anyone can confirm which bulbs are proven brighter and which companies are proven reliable I would definitely purchase the upgrades Links are king!

Tint Wizard in Scottsdale quoted me $180 for the UV protectant tint on the front windshield... I'm hesitant because I have a few chips in my windshield and don't want to tint it if I end up replacing it.

The reality is that you'll replace your windshield at some point. Every part on a car is a consumable and the windshield is no different. A pitted windshield can be worse than a cracked​ one. Its one of those things you just predicted.

If the UV film is important to you then do it and now you'll be doing it again.

What about using a fold up shade like this.

Problem with almost all these shades is that the 5th gen's windshield is deceivingly short -- 22". This one is 27.5". I have yet to find one that fits well.
