Muting JBL syn. 10 speaker radio

I have a 2004 4Runner Limited with the JBL synthesis radio, 6 CD changer and 10 speakers. My plan was to install a Motorola IHF-850 bluetooth handsfree and a PIE TOY03-aux input adapter for a two way radio (2 meter ham radio). The PIE install was very successful, no problems. I wanted to use the mute feature of the bluetooth adapter. After searching this forum I found some info for muting the radio. One post referred to connector F pin 7 (yellow wire) for muting (this was for a HU with NAV). After pulling the HU and installing the PIE adapter, I noticed the other 2 connectors at the back of the HU do not have a wire at pin 7. After some more searching I found other posts, some saying you CANNOT mute the radio and one other post referring to connector R5 pin 6 for muting.
Has anyone installed any bluetooth adapter with muting function on the JBL syn. 10 speakers, no nav, no rear entertainment successfully? If so, what connector, what wire, did you use on the HU for muting.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've finished the install and answered my own question. To mute the JBL 10 speaker w/o Nav..Connector R1 (20 pin connector)..Pin 7, white with red tracer, when brought to ground will mute the radio.
