I spent a lot of time looking for the best mix of features for the price, and landed on this deck because of the following:
-parrot bluetooth with mic
-SDHC slot
-USB
-Iphone/Ipod capabilities
-3" LCD screen for videos, album cover art, etc
-single DIN so there is room for a pocket in the dash
-price
Upon installation, I found the deck is as wide as other decks on the market with their trimplate installed, except there is no removable trimplate on this deck! The dash bezel won't fit over this deck, it would need to be trimmed, and that's not something I want to do. As my truck is RHD, the dash is a bit different in vent placement, etc, and the wood trim only came on SSR-G models, so finding a spare would be a huge PITA.
I'm very disappointed right now, and I've put the deck up for sale, just trying to get back what I paid. The other option is to put it in my other car, and steal the deck out of there, but I really wanted a video capable deck in the truck...and it seems like a waste to stick this in a car I barely drive anymore.
Just thought I'd post up incase anyone was considering this deck for their 3rd gen, I never even thought to check the physical dimensions, single DIN has always been single DIN in my experience.
