Yes, many states that treat with salt compounds WAAAY overdo it. There are occasions where treatment makes driving conditions worse, even. Here, if snow might possibly be in the forecast in the next 24 hours, they spray brine solutions on the roads as a pre-treatment. It’s hell on many car and truck bodies too, in addition to frames.

Yep, after driving a day or two after they salt the hell out of everything I see black cars driving around that are basically white. You can't even tell where the snow is on the road, because the exposed road is so salted it looks pure white too. Real safe.

Oh, and meet a semi going the other way after the snow melts a bit and they spray salty water all over your windshield, it turns into a white haze instantly.

Are you guys just spraying fluid film on everything you can under your trucks? Frame, ball joints, control arms, etc?
