The players:
Stock 1998 4Runner limited
Stock 1993 Z71
Dodge Dakota w/ mud tires
Stock T100 w/ 32" Micky's
So it started off with me (the runner) and a buddy of mine (the Z71) hitting this mud trail close by. I guess its illegal but we were back there for about 3 hours and no one came around to say anything. After we hit the trail a few times and got them nice and muddy the Z71 got stuck. Neither of us had a tow strap (stupid, I know) so he had to call his buddy to come pull him out (the dakota). He successfully pulled him out and my buddy in the z71 decided to call it a night and the dakota wasn't interested in doing any mudding either so I called my friend from work (the T100). He rode the trail with me first and decided it shouldnt be a problem for him so we went back, he hopped in his truck and we headed up the trail again. At the end of the trail there is a loop-da-loop turnaround which I took to head back. the T100 followed some tracks that went back through the 3 feet tall weeds thinking that was the turnaround. He soon found out that that was not a turnaround and found himself in a stuck in a ditch. So we busted out his tow strap and hooked it to the all-mighty 4Runner and it took some effort but we were able to retrieve his truck from the ditch. We both then decided that it was probably time to call it a night.
All in all, I was extremely impressed with how my stock limited handled the trail. There were many times were the ruts were so deep that my rear diff (and who knows what else) was draggin the mud and the runner never once stopped truckin.
I don't have any pictures because it was dark the whole time we were there. I was able to snag a couple pictures of my 4Runner right before getting it washed though. Here is the damage:
