Sorry to hear about that. Since you have a Limited, you must have had the immobilizer and alarm in it. I wonder how they were able to get around that. Do you have lo jack or a system like that installed in your truck? Good luck and I hope they recover your truck soon!

Well, if the car thief wants your car, they'll do whatever to get it. They could have loaded it on a flatbed and just drove away :confused:

Well, I hope you get your truck back in good condition and those bastards get caught. Looks like you had a lot of electronics, so that was what probably got their attention.

All 4th gens have an engine immobilizer. Maybe it was towed?
 
Oh, Bi~otch... I forgot about that. If you have a remote start, a thief will automatically know that you must have the spare key installed in the Bypass Box. Cripe!
 
Well, look on the bright side, if you dont get it back you can get a 2005/6 models with the VVT-I V-8.

Sucks about losing all those electronics.

I am a firm beliver in what goes around comes around. Karma will get the thieves!

no lo jack. just the regular stock alarm...
I'll would like a 2005.. hey mark since had the 2003 and now the 2005 Is there any change or anything new in the 2005.

how is the gas milege in the 2005 v8?
I like the limited v6 better in milege.

I called the insurance a they said that only if I have proof of purchase. which I do
 
A fuel pump switch is a very cheap and effective theft deterrant and at least keeps the vehicle from being driven away period so it defeats most simple thieves since most don't have a flatbed handy.

The basic changes for the 2005's are a 5 speed tranny for the V6, 270 hp and 330 lb. ft. of torque with VVTI for the V8, black roof rails and running boards, advanced airbag system, and bigger rear spoiler. A few other changes from 2003 are a back up camera and only 8 speaker sound system when you get the nav. I didn't see a drastic change from the 2003 V8 to the 2005 V8 in gas mileage. My 2003 got around 16 mpg highway and 14 mpg city. My 2005 is getting the same now but I only have 600 miles on it.

I can't tell you an exact price because my 2003 Sport was a lease and they were playing with numbers. The sticker price for a fully loaded V8 Limited would be around $45,000.
 
So sorry to hear about your truck. :( I hope cops will find it as soon as possible and in best condition.
 
just talking to insurance (geico) they'll pall for only $25/day for a rental car and they pay you when the case is close.. that's cheap, you can't even get the cheapest car for $25/day

Mark, you should ALWAYS know how much you paid for a vehicle. Even though it is a lease, agree on a price, otherwise as you say, they 'played' with the numbers and believe me, they are not in your favor.
