Just kidding. That's a good looking 4Runner you got. Don't see too many without the rear spoiler. Congrats on the purchase, your gonna love it and welcome to the board!

I've actally been thinking of adding the spoiler, see a few on ebay all the time. Easy to install??
 
From what I heard it's pretty easy. I think it comes with a template and involves drilling 2 holes for mounting. If you do a search for spoiler install (or something along those lines) it should come up with a little more info for ya from people who have done it!

steve- nice truck. i live right down the road from geis. i was going to purchase my 03 runner from them, but they let me walk for a difference of about $200. actually i was trying to get them to throw in the spoiler and they wouldn't budge on their price. i was willing to split the cost with them and still nothing. i ended up buying the truck elsewhere, where they did throw in the spoiler. however i do let geis do the service since its down the road.

I wasn't all that thrilled with Geis either. The only reason I went there was my brother-in-law bought a Sequoia there last year. And the fact I was taking advantage of a Toyota sponsored sale, $269 a month on V8 4Runner, so there was really no haggling involved, which I really despise. Mine has a few extra options: carpeted mats, sports pedals, chrome exhaust tip, bug deflector, so it comes out to a few bucks more.

The salesman was also a bit of a dork, telling me the V6 has more hp than the V8. He got the numbers exactly backwards, and insisted on it, despite my disbelief. I sorta discounted the guy, just needed him to do the paperwork, I knew what I wanted. I could not even get a set of wheel locks thrown in, but did get a set on ebay for $20.

I hear they are real good with service though, and this comes from several sources.

absolutley no complaints with the service dept. at all. lots of luck with the new set of wheels. see ya on the road some day.

Would like to see some other 4Runners, meet some people, and start thinking about some mods.

guys im from the nyc area too
and 05ToyRunner you and me have identical runners purchased
at the same time all though im quickly throwing mods on
to look a tad different than everyone else

Tell us about your mods, and post pics! I have ordered replacement tails; would love to see what you are doing to yours to get some more ideas.

well i installed a spoiler tail pipe end and i did have a sweet step bar that attached to my hitch until last night when they stole it

and i have rain guards and a bug deflector

i plan on getting nav and leather real soon, when i do ill post some pics

any ideas you have please share

Just got my black replica tails installed. A few pictures are below.

Got these from Jason Burtman, the link is below in my signature. Just want you all to know the Jason really was great to work with. The first set of tails had a chipped corner and needed to be replaced with a new set. And although this took some time, Jason was in constant contact with me, let me know what was going on, and handled everything. There's nothing like a vendor that stands behind their stuff, and I would definately do business with him again.
