My 4Runner is "Ghetto"!

Words of the wife! I love it. But all she does is complain about the new look. What do you guys think?

Ghetto is not a word I'd use to describe this rig.

As much as I think the 17" Tundra rims look the best on the 4runner, these FJs are a real close second. I wonder if they will clear some 231mm calipers?

When I saw Ghetto I was expecting to see something that was slammed with 22 inch DUBS and candy paint fo shizzle. I was pleasantly supprized to see it was nothing even resembling a ghettomobile. Looks good!

Pretty sure 231mm would fit.
 
Just how badly will "half of what you own" hurt you? She's trippin; that's a great looking rig!

Caveat, I'm VERY biased since mine looks very similar considering its the same color and has 17" Sequoia rims on it. :art:

LOL, too funny. That's OK, my Mom (66 years old) said that my 4Runner looks like it's from "The Hood" after I powder coated my wheels black. I think she was in shock because the Runner was hers for 9 years before I bought it from my folks.
 
Yeah my girlfriend said my 95 was ghetto because I spray painted the rims black. Just yesterday I cleaned her rims on her GC and she said she doesn't even care about the looks of the outside. I just shrug off any looks comments from her.

I think the lift and tires look great. Nice work.

If they are the "ghetto" black then the wheels would actually be hubcapless or belong to people too lazy to clean off 6 months of brake dust on them which I see on $100,000 cars around here which is a shame.

Haha that is why I was cleaning her rims. They were covered in brake dust. Women. :redbrick:
 
For the record I do not clean the brake dust off my rims, not that I get much but the brake dust doesn't ruin anything, and it comes back quickly on most cars, plus I find that it hides alot of blemishes...
 
Maybe a bit more redneck than stock, but not ghetto. But, for me, rednecks are the people I hang near when I go riding, so it's best to fit in.:thumb3:
 
I'll have some of what your wife is smoking bc that is bad ass.

I guess I got me a good country girl bc when I lifted ours she told me, "That looks awesome! I want to run over something!"
 
Yup she hates the big tires (285) and that she hit her shin trying to get into the truck. I love it! But she can only give her opinion she knows this is my baby and I'll do whatever I want to it.
