My 4Runner - Audio Option
I have learned a lot about my 4Runner by visiting this forum. I thought I would post some pics to see what you guys think.
This is my mp3 player plugged into the back of my stock stereo via the USA SPEC convertor. I hid the adopter in the open space in front of the shifter under the plastic cover.
Another view. Notice unlike the IPOD, the control button is in the middle of the device. It slides in alot easier into the holder I built for it.
View of the holder I built (I am not going to take all the credit for this idea). One of our fellow member had built something similar. I made mine from wood and plastic.
Here is a view of the holder on the kitchen table. I tried to make it so it has that factory look.
I was thinking about upgrading my factory stereo but than I came across this player. The Bass and clarity of the sound from this device eliminated the need for an expensive headunit. I have all my music and a few movies saved on it. It has a 20 gig hard drive and an amazing 35 hour battery life (4300mA).
One more look. I did not feel the need for power hookup as it lasts me 2-3 weeks before I have to charge it(under normal use). one more thing... I did not realize how decent the stock speakers were till I used this device. A couple of my friends have commented about the Bass and how it sounds as if I had a Sub in the back. It sports 20mw per channel.
