My 84 DD complete rebuild

Well, this is actually the 2nd time that I have owned this runner. The first time I bought it was several years ago and I ended up selling it to a **** who really tore it up. Then last year a buddy found it at an auto shop and called me; so I made an offer and bought it back....in alot worse shape. So, the tear down and rebuild began! Pulled the motor (which was missing an oil pan, a couple rod caps, and oil pick up). Tore it down, and built it back with a new crank, some freshly machined rods, new pistons, reworked head, and all the other goodies!

The old interior was in really bad shape, so out it went!

And donated the interior out of my 87

Then it was time for some body work and paint....

And it started looking a little better....

And that is pretty much it for now.... Need to add a Marlin Crawler rear bumper and a new exhaust but that will have to wait for now :driving:

great job wow ! like night and day

you wanna re-do mine now. hahaha kidding

mines not as bad as yours but defiantly needs some rust and paint work done.

Thanks guys! I have put alot of work in it but am really happy with the way it has turned out! A few more slight mods and I'm gonna call it done for a while. Here is a poser shot on a pile of dirt in the back yard
