This is my 87 runner. I'm from Rhode Island and I also own a 2004 sport 4x4 V8 with a TRD supercharger, TRD air filter, TRD boost gauge, Borla exhaust, TRD 20" wheels with 295/45R 20 Kumho Ecsta STX tires. Husky liners front to back. I will post pics of this one as soon as I can.

1987 SR5 Centerforce dual friction clutch. Allpro rear bumper. 2-1/2 custom exhaust. Doestech shocks. Poly body mounts and a 2" bodylift.

Nice looking truck. did you do the body lift yourself? if so were there any mods needed other than spacers and longer bolts? I am planning a lift on the same year truck.

Thanks! I have owned this runner for 11 years and done a ton of work to get her to look like this. I am a mechanic and installed the bodylift my self in one 8 hour day. I bought the lift from Downey and it came with everything needed. Longer bolts, washers, brackets etc. I also opted to install all new poly body mounts at the same time. I have no regrets about the lift. I t makes working on the truck a lot easier. I was able to remove my gas gauge sender without removing the tank.

I need to do the sending unit too. Makes it an even better idea. What size tires are you using. I have 31's on mine right now but would like to go to 33's some day. First I need to do the cam and exhaust though.

Thanks I appreciate the compliments guys!
The Tires are 265?70R16, about 32" tall.
My 04 with the SC runs good, it took a little tweaking to get rid of the high gear low RPM pinging. It was worth it though.

Hey guys!
Saturday was a sad day. I sold my 87 runner, it was hard to watch her drive away.......... I will miss her! My basement is full or mint condition rare 1st gen parts, if I don't buy another one I will sell them all if anyone's interested.

Thanks! Yeah I hear ya, but you know what they say.....different strokes for different folks. Haha. I never was a big RWL fan on tires but I felt on this truck it looked OK. I'll let the new owner worry about it now.

Too bad you had to sell it. Good luck finding another in good shape. Take your time and I am sure you will find one. :(

I have a mint rear gate, A brand new genuine Toyota right front fender, 2 factory power antenas (one with a brand new mast), a flawless set of gray 86 seats (SR5 cloth lumbar) with matching power window door panels, Near perfect 5 speed center console,
a box full or nice tailights, marker lights and directionals. A SR5 gauge cluster, half a dozen factory quartz clocks, a box full of clutch start cancel switches, rear window switches, deck/cargo lamp switches, rear wiper switches. A mint pair of side mirrors, 2 factory sunroof shades, 2 stero trim plates uncut with illuminated lighter socket and ashtrays and much more that I 'm probably forgetting.
