Good pics! Did you start from the lower cedro a few miles up s14 (coyote canyon) or cedro camp ground?
Ive had my tacoma up the lower area, its pretty fun!

I LOVE New Mexico!! Unfortunately, I always fly to ABQ from my home here in ATL and end up in a rental car.:redbrick:
One day I'll drive out there in my Runner, and one of the first places I'd love to drive it would be in Truchas, NM. A beautiful place and elevation 8,400 feet was sweet too. I was there a year ago in a POS rental car on an old rocky road just outside the town......I sooooo wanted to have my Runner there!!!! It was like a Chrlysler PT Cruiser and I had to turn around and back on the paved road after like 1/4 mile off road.......yeah like what did I expect right, but i had to give it a try...it was a rental after all.
Taos would be another place I'd love to drive it to.....in ski season of course!! I LOVE to ski there!! I think the parking lot is like 9,000 ft+ elevation and the top of the mountian is 11,000+ feet!! Love it!!

Yeah, new mexico is seriously overlooked for off roading. If you get a chance to make it out here, do so. Definetly worth the drive.
Ridefast, i believe i started from the lower area. There is a fire road that shoots off directly from highway 14. Great road right out of town. I have actually been back already since i first posted this.
