Get the code checked out and go from there. You cant do anything till you find out the code. Your trac and vsc lites come on when the check eng lite comes on so there isnt any problem with that system

Alright im gonna try to get the code checked out withi the next 2 days..ill post it up when I get it and see if you all can help..thanks man.

More than likely its your #1 a/f sensor. It does the same thing and looks like an o2 sensor but its not. Its the sensor before the cat. Make sure you replace it with an a/f sensor and NOT an o2 sensor

The MAF and the A/F are 2 different things. You may want to let someone else take care of it for you. It isnt hard but if you havent ever done this kind of work before, it might be easier to let someone else do it. Probably will cost you a couple hundred $

okay, the A/F meter is around 200$-300$ at the stealership, order it from toyota of dallas for the cheapest price i know of.

in order to replace it, you simply wait till your exhaust is cool, spray some pb blaster on the bung/nut, go inside, watch a tv show or drink a beer or two go back outside and remove the old one and insert the new one. REAL EASY TO DO, if you can change a tire you can change your AF/O2 sensors

if you want to clean your maf thats also easy to do (if you have a 98?99 or up with the newer maf that is only two screws to remove (be careful they strip easily) you go buy a 5$ bottle of electronic cleaner from the auto parts store and spray it in liberally until you get all the "gunk" off the sensor, let it dry all they way and reinstall.

a dealership or other shop will prob charge you 5-600$ to do these simple things that shouldnt take you more than an hour (with the beer drinking) and less than 300$

its really stupid simple, no reason to waste a couple hundred on something you can do yourself

earlier when i posted i searched for it on the toyota of dallas webpage and couldnt find it, so you might just want to call them tomorrow and give them your VIN# and tell them what part you need and they will find it and take your information and card number and ship it out within 72 hours if they have it in stock (they prob. do)

their number is 866-233-4305

now just to clarify, i did not double check what your code was so make 100% SURE that it is your A/F sensor, because you dont want to replace it and then have it be your rear O2 sensor. so perhaps give toyota the code your truck put out and verify with them first. anyways, best of luck to you and be sure to update this thread when you get it fixed.
