my custom grill

I got the metal mesh of Tacoma forum from a guy named Craig. Good guy, got it for 46$ with shipping. Needed fiber glass kit, Bondo, screws, mounts, and few other things. It's not 100% done clearly. Got to sand it , perfect it, paint it. Think I'm only going to paint the border black and leave mesh original color. Also if you notice I am getting rid of the little tiny edge around the grill, with bondo after I sand it it will be one smooth piece grill.

I like how you removed the edge all the way around and also filled in the 2 bottom corner areas. I did the same thing with my grille mod, except I filed the edge off instead of filling it in.

I really need to get this thing installed.

Nice grill bandit! Yes I just filled it with bondo. All I got left is sanding it to perfection then primer and paint. Hopefully this Sunday I'll be done with all the work. I'll make sure to post the final outcome.

It aint perfect but I like it. I will have to do few touch ups because the paint was a bit soft. But you can only tell from up close. And few spots to sand to smooth. Nothing major but for future. Tell me what u think

I can't say I would. Besides maybe repaint the Toyota part red, to match the side trd decals and give it that pop.
I will still have to sand few little spots to make it more smooth because I'm anal even though you can only see it close upfront lol, if you notice the grill doesn't have that littl edge around it. Thanks guys.

Have you thought about color matching it. I'm sure any body shop can spray it for around $150ish.

I have, maybe in future I will. But I like the blac color, it pops more.
