My day off in West Chicagoland.

So tonight I was supposed to play a recital in Aurora that was canceled due to the weather... so what's a guy to do? Pile in the 4Runner with the dog and go find some parks is what. We cruised the far Western Suburbs all afternoon into the evening and had a blast. No real off-roading, just some unplowed parking lots and park trails. I saw a carpet cleaning van in the ditch and thought for a second that I might get to use my new tow rope, but a tow truck was already hooking him up. :sobbing: I saw some pretty cool nature though (for the suburbs), from a flying V of geese to a coyote in the field. By the time I got home, the snow was coming down pretty good and it's supposed to keep up til tomorrow morning sometime. Maybe I'll go out for round two later tonight or early tomorrow... :shrug:

looks like you had your self a lot of fun. What part of the suberbs did you visist. I live by Geneva. I have a 2000 black limited (just like yours but in black) and im getting my new BfGoodrich allterrains t/a along with my black cragar soft 8's put on tomorrow. im super excited! :dancin:ever thought of changing out those good ol' five stars?

Well, not in the city obviously - but there are places. There are 2 off-road parks with 3 hours of Chicago and some other places here and there.

haha nice pics man. im up at Northwestern and i wanted to get out in the snow too. i just drove through some empty parking lots cause theres nothing much in the north east suburbs. but nevertheless, i enjoyed the snow too
