My Experience at Discount Tire

For those ordering online to avoid the tax issue, (that is what I did) I talked with the manager at the store here, and he said if you bring in a quote from the online store, they will match it at your local store. They will just bury the cost of the tax into their cost. I thought I saved over $250 purchasing from DTD but could have gotten the exact same price in the store.

They even said they would have matched the rebates for ordering online. Would have saved me a lot of hassle moving the wheels and tires to the store in the Civic. (they wouldn't ship to the store as I used a Discount Credit card for the extra rebates)

I just bought a set of 4 online from discounttiredirect. So youre saying I can get them mounted and balance for FREE if I bring it to a local discount tire center? Never knew this, gonna stop by this weekend.

Mounting and balancing will be $16.50 per tire, which is the same price if you bought them at the store. At least that is how they handled it at the store here in LV. That also included rebuilding the TPMS as well.

May depend on the store. I wasn't charged anything for mounting/balance. I just brought the tires in, had my receipt and they mounted them up.

Maybe call ahead and mention that the sales person on DTD told you it was included...
