My First 4Runner

Greetings everyone. I just bought my first 4Runner and it was for my wife, and we absolutely love it. I have owned many Toyota trucks in the past, and currently own a 2003 Tacoma 3.4L 4WD TRD as my vehicle. We traded in our 2003 Xterra V6 S/C and don't miss it at all. You can definitely tell there is a difference between the quality of a Toyota and all other auto manufacturers. Anyways, the only thing we have done to our 4runner is get rid of the Bridgestone Duelers and put on 265/70/R17 BFG All Terrains. Just wanted to drop in and say hi, and these are some of the best forums I have seen for any make and model.

So when you got rid of your stock tires, were you able to trade them in or sell them? If I end up buying a new 4runner, I would like to do the same. Just wondering what options are out there.

I was able to get credit for the tires from Americas Tire Co. It wasn't a lot but I think they game me $50.00 a tire. I had them do the spare too.

Sold my factory tires on Craig's List for $400. Also, sold my factory skids, wheels, and running boards on eBay. Definitely offsets the cost of the upgrades.
