Joined the forums a while ago and wanted to get some photos of my 4runner up. Its a work in progress, what do you guys think so far? Its a 1996 with 209k miles and running strong!!

Looks like mine. Black bumper... no hitch or black wheels though.

You got some rear sag goin' on? or is that just the road?

Next mod should be some 99 coils.
 
Nice Runner! I like the color as well.

My 97 SR5 has a major sag! The suspension front and back are pretty much shot minus the rear shocks (Rancho 5000).
 
Seeing all these black rims makes me want to spray mine :crybaby:
Anyone do it on a Desert Dune Pearl Runner?

It does have a little rear sag but not much, the other day i installed two 12'' subs in the rear and it made it even worse. Its going into toyota tuesday morning for the recall on the coils. Would that fix the problem or would i be better off doing the 99 coils?

5% window tint all around, roof rack, hid's, LED dash lights. Not really if some mods would be a good idea with the amount of miles on it. Want to keep this baby running for ever.
 
Thanks for the comments everyone! Can't wait to take her into toyota tomorrow and get new rear coils for free! Ill get some before and after shots and see how good it fixes the rear sag.

The sunlight on the side is so awesome in the second picture. How much money would it take for you to sell it? My Runner is worth $9000 but it'd take an offer of $20,000 for us to part ways. :hatsoff:

That's a really good question. I bought mine for $3,900 with around 180K miles. They guy had a book with every single thing that has ever been done to the car. I don't want to sell it at all, but if I honestly got more than I paid for it I'd be happy.

What did you paint your bumpers with? I have been thinking about painting my front and rear black too...and I have the same color 4Runner...and I have 5% tint....looks great. I think that once my bumpers are black it will look a lot better....like yours!

I took off the bumpers and sanded them with 36git sand paper, the primer, then paint.

The black truckbed coating came out a lot thinner than a lot of bumpers i see on here. Personally i like it more because it isnt as chunky as some of those you see, doesnt even looked bedcoating till you get really close and almost touch it.
