My Heater Fixed :D

Hi everyone, about a month ago i posted a thread named "My Heater Doesn't Work" and people replied with their suggestions and ideas, which was great. Specially "estorvito" he/she has been a great help.

Today i decided to open my center console and try to see if their is something minor. I checked the two hoses coming from the engine and both of them were Warm (Normal) then looked under the Glove Comp. and found the wires normal. Finally, after opening the console, i found that the adjuster's wire under the assembly was bent and was not opening the vent completely. After fixing it and putting it back in place(as shown in pix below) my heater was blowing fire :D one of the happiest things happened to me in last couple of days. Just check the pix and you'll figure it out.

Thnx guys, love the forum. And my special thnx to
estorvito...

Step 1. I learned that when my truck was broken into, they(f***ers) pull my knobs out so they don't break them.

Four screws around the white assembly BEFORE you pull the black console off.

Thnx guys for your replies. I put the pix just in case someone else has the same problem, check this before taking it to a shop or something. Save $$$ and Time. :bigok:

PS: Sorry about the change all over the place, it jumped out of my Ashtray when i took it out :D

thanks for pics and tips. my dad's corolla is having the same kind of heater problem. I am thinkin that it was probably the bent tubing as well. his heater core is pretty clean and we did a radiator flush and checked all hoses. the heat works better everytime we keep messing with the knob to go back and forth. i am going to see if you solution fixed his heater problem. thanks for the detailed pics.
