My Les Schwab Rant

So I purchase 4 new tires for the wife's every day driver, they were reasonably priced and I was going for convenience of a store on every corner. So she gets a sidewall flat on the way to visit her sister, a good Samaritan helps her get the spare on and limps it over to a store. They then inform her she has to pay 160 a tire versus the 100 the day before she paid for them. Why do people proceed to take advantage of people when they have no choice? I will NEVER suggest or BUY a tire from them again...end rant ;x

Should have gone with my gut and just done American tire company and got the 15 dollar coverage...

they have, their service is sh!t, and their prices are crazy, its like they think they have something special, when infact they dont, their tires suck, they dont seam to want to order the tires "you" want and try and sell you some cut rate off brand tire for more than a name brand(and dont try and tell me toyos are a name brand, thats like saying an hyundai equus is a luxury car:wtf::lmao:. i wont touch les schwab with a ten foot pole dead in a the back of a hearse late for my funeral. a friend of mine used to work there, and he hated his job, he felt like he was lieing to the customers but was basically forced to by management or would lose sales and ultimately his job, he finally quit. over the past 10 or so years they have just become solely concerned with profits and could care less about customer satisfaction, they are riding on a name, kinda like mercedes benz.

Over the years I have boughten from them and not experienced any exceptional customer service nor horrible and I do agree for the most part that their prices are a bit high but I keep to sales...recently I went in looking to see what they had because I knew my runner needed new shoes in the near future and I knew what I wanted and what size...I ended up buying some...the guy, Steve showed me the tires I bought and some toyos that looked almost exactly the same...he even said they were basically the same tire just difference in name and price...he suggested and said hed buy the cheaper ones...shocking to me because who recomends buying the less expensive tire, right...then I asked if he could pull a tire of an extra wheel I brought with me and swap it with my spare so Id have a full size spare...he said no prob and no charge....while they were getting my spare they noticed my tow bar that I was having trouble getting off was missing bolts and offered to finish taking it off...no prob no charge...come to find out Steve lives in the same small town I do and I think there is a lot to be said about small town people hosptality because this last experience with them was the best Ive ever had...and maybe its cause Im a girl...who knows what she wants...

Its too bad that for the most part they have lost the very characteristic that their reputation was built on...
