-Will not debadge but will replace the badges with Black Pearl ones
-Yes, HKS and the decal is a Puerto Rican flag (removed)

I think that the IS350 is still faster than the g37 coupe, right? And the IS350 is actually a coupe because the rear seat is really small! The only good thing that you can say about the G37 over the IS is the price...otherwise, if price is no object, i would get the IS350 over the G37. The powertrain on the IS is pretty impressive. I don't think that he has a NAVI because there is no camera in the license plate area.

The IS350 is very fast car and the price is competitive with the G37, however I still get the Lexus for it's reliability. I picked the 250 vs the 350 for two reasons, price and economy since is my daily car and do lot of city driving. If I have to do it all over again will by the 350 or mybe the IS-F or if they ever offer it a coupe. I already have a Garmin so didn't got the Nav or back-up camera.

I can assure you the IS350 is quicker then the G37/35 and runs right with the 370Z and 335i (all in stock form). I’ve spanked several G37s (weighs too much). I’ve had my 350 at the track several times and I rip off 13.5s all day long. With just a Greddy exhaust, smaller diameter/wider tires (275/35/18) and a JoeZ intake tube my best was 13.3@104mph (perfect track conditions). If you go on Youtube you will see the 350 beating several really fast cars including several 335i. There is a video of a 350 beating a 426hp SRT8 300. The 350 is an amazing 1/4 mile car due to its consistency. It has a 4.08 rear and is one of the easiest cars to launch. No burnouts needed to heat the tires (drive around the water box). No torque braking needed. No power or sport mode needed. Just disable the nannies and mash the accelerator.

I've got a 2010 G37 Coupe with a 6-speed manual. I've never come across an IS350 that could keep up from a roll or a dead stop, and my car is currently 100% bone stock.

Perhaps Koz has been racing the G35 (significantly less HP than the 330 HP G37) or automatic gearbox cars. There's no way that a stock IS350 is going to keep up with my G37.

BTW, for the record I like the IS. The only big problem with them is that you have to get the weak engine if you want the manual transmission. That in itself is a fatal flaw for me....I need 3 pedals on my sporty car. I only like a slushbox in a pure luxury car or an SUV.

This is a friend of mine running his G37. He has no mods other than two K&N filters (G37 has dual intakes) and high flow cats, which are the semi-restrictive in the G37. You can see him running 13.3 here. He also broke into the high 12's with the addition of a tune and no other mods.

Still though, I'm not saying the G37 coupe is a race car or anything, but don't make the mistake of sleeping on it because a 6-speed manual car will run mid 13's in stock form with a good driver. And low 13's and/or high 12's are really just a tune away...

I have never lost to a STOCK G37 or a G35, auto/6MT, coupe/sedan. That is from the dig, slow roll, or from highway speeds. Perhaps what you raced was a IS250 (100+ significantly less HP).

I personally think the Gs are great looking cars but, sorry, a manual trans does not make it a sports car. Every time your pushing your sporty pedal that luxury slush box IS is making lightning fast precision shifts and pulling on you.

I ran a 13.3 with a axle back exhaust (with 4 cats) and a smooth replacement intake tube and stock air filter. I did take out the spare/jack and only had a 1/4 tank of gas. The IS without a tune (It is impossible to hack the IS engine mgmt ECM) and similar mods (bypass pipe) can run high 12s (The driver doesn't have to be that good, it is a luxury car).

The fact that the IS has chrome badges on the rear make it real easy to see if it's a 250 or a 350. The IS250 really has no balls at all and wouldn't even be a challenge....I wouldn't even waste my time.

Too bad you're not closer because I'd love to meet up with you for a little stoplight challenge. With your mods, it might be close.
