my light colored leather - pics - info

I've had some people ask me about the light colored leather in my '05 Sport...

It was added at the port in Jacksonville Florida before the car was shipped to the dealer.

This was attached to one of the seats:

I couldnt find a website...but this leather was added mid december so the company probably only does installs for Southeastern Toyota Distributors....but if someone wanted to call and ask..u never know

Well at least I know what the leather will look like when it is installed at Port. Dealers here in Jax. seem to have a hard time locating the truck I want with leather. All seem to have cloth, but the said they could give me a loaner for a while and have it put on. Wasn't sure at first, but now seeing your's I'd be alright with it. Looks Good!

It really is nice leather....soft...nice quality.

I actually wanted the dark cloth, but the only one they could find had leather *haha*

Even though I have aftermarket leather in my car, I don't like how the back pocket in the front seats look and your kit looks almost like the factory leather in the Limiteds. Thanks again!

I have a question though, do you have zippers on each side of the front seat? It's the view of the seat from the back seat. Thanks!

Looks almost identical to the limited seats.... maybe it is... as it was added at port..... poor ole limited who didn't get leather seats. looks great!

the quality of the leather is very nice...very soft...matches the interior perfect

as for the zippers...i really didnt even notice they were there until you pointed them out *haha*...these are taken tonight with the flash so it makes the zipper a little "brighter" than they should be

Wow, thanks for posting all those pictures, they're very helpful. I'm strongly considering replacing my seats because of the seatback I have currently. Apparently, most of the "large" aftermarket leather manufacturers use the same design I have and I don't like it. I really like how yours was designed, it looks much better and those zippers make installation a lot easier!

I like how the light leather contrasts with the black seat controls, very nice combination. I'm wondering how black leather would look with my tan seat controls.

That's exactly what I had done. I wanted leather in my sport but I didn't like the thought of charcoal leather seats in the Texas summer heat. I picked the color to match the Limited and had my dealer add it for me.

charcoal? what color did you get your truck in? I believe gold 4R come with the darker leather.. everyone else gets the light-colored leather.

Sport Editions (regardless of exterior color) have charcoal cloth interiors.

The SR5 comes in either a light grey (stone) or beige (taupe) cloth, while the Limited comes in leather in the same colors.

I think the Gold exterior only is available with the taupe interior.

I thought I was getting the charcoal because the dealer said "the only silver 4Runner Sport V8 in the southeast (as of Dec 8th 2004) has already had leather put on it at the port"....like i said, I originally wanted the cloth..but 'settled' for the leather...it turned out to be the light colored leather, which I have grown to really like. It is extremely soft and very comfortable. It hasn't been hot in the sun and hasnt been really cold either...thats the only reason I wanted cloth to begin with.

Did I just "luck up" and get a Sport with light colored leather instead of charcoal?

My Black Limited comes with the stone leather. My mom's Silver Limited comes with the stone as well. The Gold exterior comes only with the darker leather, taupe.
*edit. only gold comes with taupe... these colors are messing me up.

Could it be that you really have the dark char fabric cloths sport edition seat underneath some port installed ZIP on leather seat covers?????? Just wondering because I rarely see leather seats with so many zippers!
