I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 49164. Also some of the forum sponsors selling magnaflow exhaust usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great cat, sounds great, and very easy to install.:uzi:

I took out the old exhaust today, fairly easy to take out besides the 2 places i had to saw. Decided to take it for a spin around the block (Im sure its illegal) and let me tell you this thing sounds like a BEAST.

First off id like to say the exhaust sounds great. I hear no drone what so ever, and on the highway it is almost completely silent. Around the city it is alot louder (not loud enough) but still it definetly sounds more like a truck now, and I felt the performance improve a slight bit.

From the link you posted it says the exhaust only costs $258.46?! I thought these went for $500+? If this is the case I am definitely buying one!

I saw that too, but I think the part # is different. If you do the year/make/model search on the site, you get a different part that is $566 or so. This part # matches the one pictured at the beginning of the thread (box from magnaflow).
Any idea how this would sound with the V-6 ?

I'm thinking about getting a Magnaflow system for my 1999 4Runner with dual exhausts going straight back by my trailer hitch. What size/diameter are your tips? I'm trying to decide between 3" and 3.5".

I miss the look my 4Runner had with the Magnaflow. I tolerated the drone (to a certain extent), but everyone else inside my car didn't so I took it off.
