My NAV headunit is acting weird!

The other day I turned it on and the buttons would not work. I would touch the screen to change stations and they would not work. I could do volume and seek tune but the screen buttons were not working. I turn the car off and then on and all way well. Today I had the radio on, turn the car off for a few hours. When I got back in the radio came on, I went to turn it down and the volume knob had no effect. All of the screen buttons beeped and working but no volume? Turned that car off and on and it seems to work fine. That is two weird things in 3 days?? Thoughts?

Whats your location, mine acts funny in the cold to, once it's warm everything is fine.

These days where we have an average temp of 20 degrees "F" the radio freezes and my Nav acts weird, shut off restart fine but during normal warm weather no problems.

Also the liquid screen needs to warm up

I haven't had anything like that happen to mine.... it even worked fine the other night after just starting it up at 5 degrees outside...

I am in northern CA near SF so no cold weather issues. I have noticed the LCD need a little time to heat up. I had my rig in Tahoe and after sitting all night and leaving early in the morning with the headlights in (meaning the LCD brightness was very low for night driving) it was hard to read. When I cranked the brightness up it warmed up in a few minutes and got noticeably bright as it did.

No this is like its software gets weird and turning off/on resets itself.

The 1st winter I had the truck, cold weather would mess with the radio and freeze the Nav screen, plus I could not lower or higher the volume, I restart the truck and all was fine, has not happened again since last winter, I think it was 3 times tops.

I installed the '05 Camry navigation system from OEMValue. It has been flawless so far....

I had the same problem 2 or 3 times in the first year. I haven't had the problem since...knock on wood.
