My New 1997 SR5 T4R

Hi,

I have recently acquired a 1997 SR5 4Runner. its a 5 speed 4x4. I have previously had several 1st gen Isuzu Troopers and love them but when the opportunity presented itself to get the 4Runner I could not pass it up.

I have a lot to learn about these vehicles but so far it has been enjoyable going through the routine maintenance and working on some upgrades.

Hopefully I will get the chance to meet some of you folks out on the trails.

On a different note--- I am taking the rig out for its first 4 wheeling "overlanding" trip (About 60 miles). it will be mostly fire service roads and OHV parks on northeast Georgia. Is there anything 4Runner specific as far as handling and mechanics go that I should be aware of?
