Just took some pictures of our new 4 Runner. Only thing I've done was add the chrome strips around the windows.

i had a choice between white or silver. But there were two factors that made us lean towards white:
1. We like it better than silver
2. Our neighbor across the street has a silver 4runner!

Although one thing i didn't like about this unit is that it was a dealer swap which means that i got it at 192 miles. The silver one was fresh from the truck, with only 3 miles! Oh well.

Gotta love a black 4Runner!! Gotta hate the fact that you'll be spending way too much time cleaning it to keep it looking like your picture.

As much as I love black, I vowed to never again buy a black vehicle after my first new black car. Unless I become rich enough to hire someone to detail my vehicle at least twice each week, I'll stick to colors other than black. LOL.

not necessarily ANY other color. Dark Grey, Dark Blue, etc are dark enough colors that require constant cleaning as the dust will appear easily.

But the ultimate reward in a Black vehicle is when it's newly clean. :bigok:

Welcome to the club. Seem's like everyday we get a new member with their brand new 06. What's happening?? Is everybody getting married and landing better paying jobs? Tell us why you chose to buy a 4Runner, instead of a 10sec drag racer that'll smoke any car you see at an intersection. There's gotta be some logic behind buying a 4Runner right?

thanks. some factors that made me choose a 4Runner:
1. Price is good.
2. Gas, well, sorta good (better than my GX)
3. Made in Japan
4. Similar to the GX, so it's easy to use and i can easily swap parts or something. (bought a chrome tip with the 4Runner, because it had a discount, but i put it on the GX instead).

My 4Runner is Galactic grey, and it's much better at hiding dirt than black!!

Nothing compares to black when it comes to showing dirt. The only color I can think of that even comes close is a very dark blue.

Wow, glad to see another Central Valley 4runner owner on T4R.org! Welcome and I'll probably see you around.

Pepi, the truck looks great, is that factory tint?

oh thanks. well i did see another member here in fresno (or maybe you). What color t4r do you have?

A couple days before i took delivery of mine, i saw a Brand new red 4Runner at Bingham Toyota that had a sticker "t4r.org" on the back window. That's how i learned about this site.

I'm thinking about getting either a sticker like that on my rear window, or MAYBE personalized plates of just "T4R" (checked already and it's still available) . :p

nice truck guys! are you looking for that red 4runner in fresno that has that t4r.org sticker?? that's me! :D i was looking for members here that are from the central valley as well then i saw rx900's pics and i was like "hey that dealership looks familiar"... LOL

LOL great question!
My answer is because I already own a 10 second car, got my 06 mainly for the wifey and our first addidtion to the family.
I went yota because I couldn't deny the quality standards, the resell value, killer interest rate, and not to mention they look great. (other than that monster third brake light bar).

I just joined the '06 4Runner crowd as well. I got my Titanium Metallic SR5 4x4 last weekend and I love it. Big improvement over my former '97 SR5 !

I'll post pictures soon... haven't had much extra time recently.
