Sorry, but I just dont like them at all. I just think big flashy wheels do not belong on a 4R.
But to each his own I guess.

wow, those look great! i should look into something like those for mine. So huge! 
I was really suprised that it didn't affect the ride that much. I am able to notice a little vibration when I get going on the highway. But only I was able to notice just a little bit, my passenger didn't even notice. I was expecting alot worse, but it rides almost exactly as it did before the rims.

Interesting. Yeah, when I took it back to the dealer, they told me that the 3rd Gen Runners are too sensitive for wheels like this...which is why they are only offered as an option package on the bigger Tundra and Sequoias. I do have a free warning though for you straight from the Service Mananger:
Rack and pinion will get damaged (completely worn out) in under 10k miles, so be prepared for a hefty repair down the road. The weight of anything bigger than 18" wheels does a number on the steering system. He showed me extensive service records on this to back it up.

hmmmm... i had 20" wheels on my runner before i had enough of offroading with them.... only on for about 3k before i fixed the gender confusion my truck was having, rack and pinion.... just offhand before i go looking... anyone know how to inspect for wear/harm?
but those are some huge wheels, get the new running boards and some fenders with like a 1" drop and it will look bling bling

I just wanted to say after seeing your truck I was inspired to finally put on my 22's today. I have had them sitting at my house for a week now due to the rain but even though it was raining once again today I mounted them up. It really makes a huge difference in the look over my 20's and I love it. The ride is only slighty rougher over the 20's. You can feel the imperfections in the road a bit more but nothing extreme at all. I'm a pretty anal person and if I don't mind it then most other people wouldn't either.
Everyone has their own opinion and I respect that. I've owned a jacked up Tacoma with 33 inch tires and thought it sucked. I sold it shortly after because I hated it after I completed the lift and tire swap. Some people love it though and more power to them. I'll get pics of mine up with the new 22's once it stops raining and I can clean it up a bit.

uh, wow... i bet with those low profile tires on your 4runner will do wonders now in snow, or heck, in any type of bad weather 4wd scenario :bash:
once you lower it, itll really be an fowl weather animal! i bet youll be the only person with a 4WD truck that cant drive in the snow!
im not sure the point of getting a big truck thats a 4WD gas guzzler just to lower it and make it handle like a compact car
i want to get larger aftermarket wheels too - but not wheels so big that only low profile street performance tires fit on em.
nice wheels, but my personal opinion is that just doesnt work on a tough off rd looking truck. :arrow:

I really don't mind putting big rims on my 4runner because I don't have a 4WD. I also know that bad weather is going to be an issue, but in two months I am moving to Arizona, so I don't think that I will have to worry about snow that much! But your sarcastic point was well taken.

im right there with ya lee... i could maybe go 18" wheels if they were the right look, and i had a lift. i just hate the way low profile tires look on an SUV. its so tacky. i want off rd looking tough tires on an SUV.
now on a BMW M3, low profiles and a drop look AWESOME!

those are 20"s and still have some tire around them, decent ride, looked "bling bling" (gf thought it looked like a drug dealer's car) but to each their own right? i decided it wasnt for me after 3k or so, if i hadnt of bought them, i could be running supercharged and fully locked right now.... damn these "oh they are so shiny" buy's
this is much more my style
but i also do have 4wd and use it, TD21, good luck with the curbs and snow. now you just need a supercharger.....
