My new 3rd Gen 4runner!

Hey, well I'm guessing this is the appropriate place to introduce myself and my new T4R

It's a forrest green 1999 SR5 with 94K on it. I'm really excited because I purchased it with my own cash for just under 9000 (I'm 18, so its a big deal for me haha)

Anyhow, here are some pictures:

Yep, this is the right place to introduce yourself. Nice looking truck. 99 was a good year for 4Runners. Lots of good upgrades for the truck that year. I have about the same mileage on my 2001. It should last you for a long time......

I'm with ya on the slim wallet, i'm tryin to get done with my senior year, and being 18 and making my own payments sucks... mines gettin closer to where i want it, took 2 years of scrapin and savin...

haha, yea I'm feeling it bad. I paid for it up front in cash so I am back to ground zero again. I like your truck tho kregg, it looks good. You seem to be more car smart than me, I'm really don't know how to do my own tech stuff (deckplate mod for example). Of course, that is why I am here... to learn





It's all good though, I just found out like 20 minutes ago that I'm accepted into UT. :biggrin2:

Nice... I'll be headed to the University of Alabama when I get out... And I can't wait... The deckplate mod isn't difficult, it just takes looking at it and figuring out what needsto be removed and what bolts go where... Thanks for the comments on my ride, yours is pretty clean too...

if you have the money.. i would really recommend clear corners and turn signals. Looks awesome on the green 4runners in my opinion. burtmanindustries.com has quality stuff.

Love the clear corner/signal look but I need better corner bulbs since the stock ones look so dull. I left the original bulbs in the signals since those don't look too bad an almost cast an amber light compared to my Silverstar headlamp bulbs.

I have Hella Yellowstars in my fogs which really helped out in the wet weather. I had Silverstar driving lights too but while they looked good with my headlamps the white light did nothing in the rain and snow.

However, I am going to perform the poor man's black pearl emblem mod this weekend. I will definately post pics after they are completed (hopefully by sunday).

Glad to hear they llook good on green, I just ordered the clear bumpers and corners and they should arrive friday. Will also post pics after I am through! :awais:
