My new 4R

After about 3-4 months of stressful searching down here in Phoenix and contemplating on getting a 2wd I took a chance and drove up too Dewey, AZ. Ended up buying this 1998 4Runner with 168,000 miles. Overall truck seems pretty solid. I believe I got a decent deal and to my surprise I think i picked up a rarer one...

Wow...looks like you're patience paid off. Your new T4R is really clean and from what I understand well maintained. :thumb3:

Have fun exploring the back roads. First time out, keep it within walking distance to pavement until you're satisfied that the 4wd is operating as intended. Once you're comfortable and statisfied, it's good old Toyota reliability.

By the way, luv the color. LuDog and I have always been partial to white autos, lol.

Congrats.........8sm & LuDog

Thanks for the comments guys. Story is an older woman drove the 4R between Dewey and Prescott for work since she bought it new. Only used 4wd during the three-four times it snows a year up there. She 'upgraded' buying a 01 4R 2wd auto silver. Truck seems like it was well taken car of. No rust and pretty clean even though the truck was not cleaned before selling. Paint is a little faded but for 13 year not too bad. So far I have removed the running boards and changed out the battery.

Not planning on any extreme mods. Maybe the center console cup holder mod, Whip antenna mod, painting OEM rims, front window tint to match back and a nicer roof rack.

Planning on going camping this weekend. I will take it slow 8sm :)
