My new 4runner

Hi guys, on Friday I took delivery of my 2008 SE :)

Prior to buying my 4th gen, I was looking to buy a 3rd gen limited. The 3rd gen price range was very affordable even with a very high mileage one I had money left for a full rebuild and additional add on. I started looking more and more on people's pro's and con's about the 3rd. Most common is towing capacity, interior room and maintenance. I read a lot of people's builds and the faq buyers guide.

Then I ventured into the 4th gen forums and started doing research. Found a few 2003-2004 for slightly more than a 3rd gen. It was a no brainer, LOL. Better gas mileage, don't have to spend $700-$1200 for timing belt every 90k miles, etc.

So this last week I was going to buy a 2007 limited with 86k miles for $22k out the door. Checked my friends dealership where he works and found a 2008 Sport with 48k and it's a CPO for $27k before taxes and fess. So I decided to go with the CPO. After an hour at the dealership, I drove this new car home. Decided to add on extra protection such as another 4yr/48k miles warranty from Toyota and theft protection (they will pay my next Toyota a $4k down payment if stolen). So all said and done, drove home for $30k OTD. The dealership put on new water pump, brake pads, brake rotors, tires and other misc things.

Can't wait to start modding. First on my list is convert to all LED lights and weathertech mats.
