My new audio build

I am running an Lc6 line out

How is the performance with the stock head unit and your amp setup? Any noise in the system? Alternator wine or popping on startup??

I have the stock 4R system. It's pretty terrible. I don't want to replace the head unit but I would like to upgrade the speakers and add an amp. I've always heard good things about AudioControls.

Curious to know how the 8" speaker and 4" mid range installs go. The best systems always have the biggest speaker (within reason) in the front for true staging. Props for going that direction! Keep us posted.

Post pics of your front setup when your done!

where do you plan to mount the extra set of speakers in the dash?

Bump

Hey guys, not sure if I should start my own thread for this or not.

I'm looking to upgrade my sound quality in my 2011 SR5, I don't have nav or the JBL stuff. Will I get a noticeable increase in quality by just replacing the existing speakers with better ones?

Also, anyone know how much if any audio quality loss there is when playing music from bluetooth stereo? Nearly my entire MP3 collection is V0, so I'm hoping to get as much out of these high-end MP3s as possible without having to spend more than $5-600...

Thanks in advance.

I very much thought about the 900/5 but not for this car.

How much did it run you, and does it provide enough power to the sub channel to balance everything?

I've got 50x4 up front right now and 300x1 @ 2ohm into a DVC 10. The bass just isn't enough, and that's before Alpine imprint takes over.

It ran around 1000 bucks for the amp, and it has done very well, and has tons of power. It actually produces too much power for the w7 which I never thought I would say...

Absolutely inspirational discrete & stealthy box. Very very cool. I really like that you managed to keep the power outlet accessible.

-How did you secure that custom sub box?? Did it just wedge in or are there bolts underneath the carpeting(??) or...

You may want to IM directly as this thread is a couple years old....

Do you have any of the box dimensions that you built of pictures of the build for the 8w7? That’s what I’m trying to install. Thank you for any info you can give me?
