My New Barca Red 2014 Limited!

New member here, and I just wanted to post a few pics of my exceptionally awesome new 4Runner. Here a just a few shots from my iPhone.

I really couldn't be more excited about my Limited. I've found the ride quality to be very good, with relatively controlled body roll and a smooth ride over pavement. Bumps haven't been an issue, and it has all the tech/amenities I need. I can't wait for summer and the rear sliding window. I vacillated quite a bit on color, but found that Barca Red was perfect for me. I'm mostly an on-road kind of guy, but I love the lurking off-road capability, should the grid fail, the economy collapse, or the zombies come out of hiding. Got a good price due to the new 2015s hitting the showrooms. Only thing it's missing is the right sized/placed cubbyhole for my ccw.

Congrats on the purchase, if I was feeling wilder I would have gotten the red (my second choice) but I figured it would stand out a little much!

I think the tissue holder works well for a CCW cubby when you must leave it in the truck, all other times should be on body :). I thought a nice holster firmly mounted to the driver door would be a good travel spot but never tried anything.
 
Mine is identical to yours. I love the red. One thing I see that you do that I never do is park where you did. If I can not find an end spot or a parking place far from other cars I will leave. I have been like that since before the 30 years we have been married and have the wife trained to do the same.
 
Most of us have found the center console with available vault very accommodating for most ccw choices.


What exactly is this "vault" you speak of? I just noticed a nice big center console with a slight partition that serves no purpose I can discern.

Yeah, it was a pretty bad parking job. I was waiting to meet my wife, and I pulled over lazily, as I was going to leave again. I have noticed that I'm far more cognizant of potential dings than I have EVER been in my life.

Or you can always look for a spot with two decent cars besides you since they most likely take care of their vehicles as well and look for no door edge dings on cars your parking next to. I'm never that A$$ that decides to take up 2 parking spaces because I believe my car is more important than the old lady that needs to park next to me.

To the OP, that's a good looking red limited you got there.
 
Very nice! Love the color. I would be in a red 4Runner if the one I checked out at the dealer had black interior. Enjoy the new ride.
