My new(ish) ride

Bought it in August. It is a 2000 4Runner that had (at the time I bought it) only 34,000 miles on it. 1st pic is of the 4Runner. 2nd is of the original dealer tag that was still in the glove compartment. 3rd pic is tag with supercharger and glass etching charges (also from original buyer)...also has grand total that the original owner paid for the whole rig. Then, in another post, I will tell you how much I paid for it.

And the price was......

After TT&L (and whatever other charges that they could come up with) I paid right at $20,000! So tell me, was this a good deal or not? And I got it from a dealership to boot!

Congrats man ! Really nice color :)
you only paid 20,000 for it :awais: damn that's a low price.
enjoy!

what is glass etching?
$795:jester:

Actually it is a number etched in all the glass, so if your car is stolen, if they re-use your glass it can be traced back to your vehicle. Hopefully a thief will see the etching on the glass and move onto another vehicle.

That is perhaps the biggest ripoff going. My local sheriff's office does it for free and I think you can buy your own etcher for 20 bucks :D

Glass Etching

Whereas the windows are etched with the VIN on all windows, I think the bulk of the expense was spent on the extra etching the original owner had put on. See pic below: :artist:
