Hi, new guy here.
I was just wondering, why are the scoops so popular with you guys over there, are they just for show or are they functional?
We have them over here on our 3.0 intercooled turbo diesel 3rd gens, the scoops are functional and are 'sealed' to the intercooler and the underside of the scoop with a rubber 'skirt'

They do look fantastic though, especially on a black truck.:biggrin2:

The scoop is one of the most sought after factory "rice" parts ever I think which is pretty good for a looks only mod and when you have the scoop on your truck it is all worth the $$.

I've always wanted the scoop way back when they debuted in late '98 on the '99 Highlander models and it took my 5 years to get one.
