My new TE came in a few days early. I was very surprised to get a call from the truck driver saying it would be delivered the next day when I was expecting it in 6 more days.
Just put my new Revo 2 LT tires on today and now I am ready to go. Got them from Discount Tire. They price matched Tirerack. Then they convinced me to get the TPMS rebuild. I didn't think I needed that on a new vehicle but they explained the rubber washer gets compressed whenever you put on new tires. So I got it anyway and they gave them to me for $2 each instead of $8.
I was surprised that my TE came with Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 tires instead of the Bridgestone that I think most get. I traded them in to Discount Tire and only got $50 each. Probably could have sold them locally for more.
I bought the ARB deflator for off roading and from my reading it is recommended to have a couple spare valve cores in case something goes wrong. Can you please tell me which size to order. I asked for a couple at DT but then forget to get them as I was leaving. Thanks.
I have never had compliments before on any car I have owned. The guys at DT just loved it and I talked with a couple who couldn't get over how nice it was. They were surprised I was getting new tires on a new vehicle so I explained they were tough tires for off roading. I then picked up my daughter from school and I received more compliments. I am not used to this much attention but I guess I better get used to it. :tongue:
