My new (to me) ride

I guess this is the right forum to post this? Anyways here is my new ride! I actually got it a couple weeks ago but im just now getting around to posting. I love it so far, its a HUGE step up from my 2006 f150 xl. Its got the 381 hp 5.7. Its very surprisingly quick for such a big truck. First up is an exhaust system, then some wheels and tires. Anyways here it is. What do you guys think?

Thanks! I think im gonna go with the corsa exhaust actually. It uses 3" tubing, whereas most others use 2.25-2.50" tubing. The magnaflows sound great though thats for sure

just added one to the family a couple weeks ago too. you're right about the speed, its actually shocking when you first floor it. i want to do the corsa as well, it sounds wicked

Thanks man! As far as rims go i was thinking xd monsters, or ballistic jesters. The monsters are a hugely popular wheel for the tundra, so they are everywhere, but its because they look sooo good on this truck. Im getting a LRO 3/1 level/lift kit to go with it, so im thinking ill run some tires in the neighborhood of 33's.

I need something to comfortably pull 10K lbs. For those who know, is the crewmax absolutely preferable to the regular extended cab? I know the beds are smaller on the crewmax, not my concern unless I can't 5th wheel cuz of that. But yeah that is the way to go, congrats!! :banana:

I test drove a double cab before I found my crewmax. HANDS DOWN if you have a family, and find a crewmax, I would get it. It has a ton of room back there, more than a lot of sedans. The double cab DOES have a lot of room in the back, but the crewmax is second to none in back seat space in crew cab trucks. The closest thing to it would be dodge's mega cab.

The biggest problem for the Tundra, and most 1/2 tons, is their relatively low payload. Sure they might be rated to tow 10K in some configurations, but with lots of trailers and their tongue weight (especially pin weight if using a 5th wheel), you'll end up exceeding the payload of the truck by the time you hook up, and load the family in the truck.

I believe Toyota even specifically recommends NOT using a 5th wheel, on the Crewmax.

Choose a truck and trailer wisely.

I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a 2013 Crew Cab TRD but ended up going with a 2014 Sequoia Limited because I wanted the huge 3rd row and still needed the towing capacity. The Sequoia shares a ton of parts with the Tundra, including the 5.7L V8 which is a monster.
