My RSG slider and KDSS skid Installation w/ pics

So for the angled rock sliders I would NOT have to trim the stock KDSS skid plate but for the flat ones I would have to?

I just don't know if I have the right tool to trim it. What is everyone using to trim the stock KDSS skid plate?

RSG are you making a KDSS skid plate for the 5th gen? I would love not to have to trim the stock one and just put yours on in place of it.

Is there any update on this thread on how to trim the kdss skid plate? Photos? Angled sliders no trim? flat needs trimming as stated..

I have already ordered and installed the flat sliders. I also called and asked if they still sold the KDSS skid plate and they had a few laying around so they sold me one.

I just installed mine last week and used a sawzall to trim the kdss plate.. not the prettiest work, but it got the job done! Love the sliders!

I took mind to a local shop for the Skid plate trim. It took them like 3 hours to install it. But they are slow and took lunch break. RSG sliders are nice I was not expecting them to be striking out that much. My son likes it to help him get in the car :banana:

Lots of vibration in reverse and random clunks after I off road from the skid plates, going to try some shims to quiet things down.

Have had the sliders from day 1... great product and no dings from car doors in over 3 years of ownership
