Got a 97 4runner, I went to the store the other day it ran fine, when i got back in it, it would turn over but would not fire, ive spent 2 days trying to figure out the problem. Ive changed the fuel pump, filter even tried switching the relays, no fuel coming from fuel pump to the filter, sounds like something easy to fix but cant figure it out, how many relays runs the fuel pump? And could it be the ecu? Any help would really be great tks

Something in the lines? The relay is located under the hood on the drivers side. Also, check the fuzes by the driver side kick panel.

You can try to straight wire the pump to make sure the working.

The issue could also be your neutral starter switch. Out the truck in neutral and see if that work. Otherwise, time to trouble shoot the electrical.
