my stealth subwoofer box.

I built mine off of Aarons specs but modified to fit my sub. I think it turned out nice.

I was looking at those Stealth Box's too, but way too expensive. So for a few buck, mainly in fiberglass I built this. Cause the rest of the supplies were just lying around.

Sounds great, a little rattling from a couple broken clips I need to replace, but works out.

Love the old school rf Hx2. Those things get down

Want to design me one for 15s i need it on each side and it has to be ported, box volume needs to be at 2.8 , im pretty sure im sol on this, but i need to build a ported box that have the back slanted with the seats, i may gain about 3 more inches of cargo space.

Only the JBL Audio systems have a subwoofer in the rear panel, I did not have the JBL installed in my rig so there was no speaker back there.

It was a storage compartment. True only the JBL systems have the sub in there. Personally, I put my amps in there behind the subwoofer box.
If you were in DE I would definitely help with the 15's. Not from this far away. I don't have a T4R anymore...so hard to plan anything without the car in front of me. Good luck with 'em!

You guys all have mad skillz but I think it is pretty funny that in this thread "stealth" means .... hidden, at least when the cargo cover is pulled over it. Lol.

What type of subs are you guys using in your custom stealth boxes? Im planning on getting a box made but first need to decide what sub to get. Which are thin enough? (I have a 20004 runner limited addition- 7 in wheel well)

I plan on building a box next week for a JL 10w3v3. I am going to place it over the wheel well, but I am looking at placing it on the driver's side of the cargo area so that the storage area on the passenger side is still accessible. Any particular reason you all went with installation on the passenger side?

Thanks!

I store my jack, tire iron, plug kit on the drivers side and did not want to cover that panel up, stock sub in the JBLs is on the passenger side too!

Is that an 10" or 12"?
I'd greatly appreciate it if you could provide the exact specs for your custom box. I have the same subwoofer (12") and I'd love this same set up.

Thanks!

Stealth enough?

I just finished this 2 days ago, It's still drying :) I have yet to take the painters tape off

I used the specs that are in the beginning of the thread. I drew it all out on cardboard and then adjusted where i needed to to make it work. The 12's are pretty big so the box will be completely different than the one that i did. I had to stretch alot of the designs out a bit for mine.
