I bought a set of Mickey Thompson 15x8 with 31x10.5 Dick Cepek Fun Country II and they rub when I am turning into a parking lot or full turn or something similar. How do I fix that without lifting(no money)? OH yeah, mine is a 97 2wd.

I looked at where they were rubbing and it is only minimal. Can i just beat the hell out of the inside fenderwell?

woah woah woah

WHERE SPECIFICALLY is it rubbing?

if its the pinch weld ( the fender that is by the drivers left foot), then you can cut and pound it in.

if it is the front drivers side, you can take a box cutter and cut some of the flare/trim off.

id recommend exchanging those rims though unless you plan to lift/wheel it... in which case id say you need to get some spacers or a BL till you can deal with it more.

It is rubbing on both sides, drivers and passengers. I don't know where the pinch welds are but it rubs about 4-6 inches inside the fenderwell on the black part. Not on the fender itself or the flares or bumper just inside the fenderwell.

WEll actually I would be willing to trade for a stock set of 4runner wheels and tires if some one would. I gave my 4runner back to my wife and I drive the Lexus now. So really I would like to clear up the rubbing issue for her. She thinks it is embarassing. So a set of good stock wheels and tires would be good.

pinch weld is, like i said, by the drivers foot, same for pass side, on the wheel well.
