I want to just do a few mods, including:

2.5" inch spacer lift, either by Daystar OR Cornfed

EITHER magnaflow exhaust OR a vortex muffler and chrome tip

clear corners, bumper lights, tail lights, with crystal bulbs

Custom Sound System, still looking for brands, etc.

Limo Tint all the way around (except windshield OBVIOUSLY)

are these good choices? if not, please make suggestions, as I'm starting on these mods very soon...

If your gonna go with Limo make sure you get a good tint. A good tint will be easier to see out than in. My friend's mom's Taurus had cheap limo and was scary to drive at night! You couldn't see anything backing up or to the sides. My maxima has limo and it looks like normal tint when looking from the inside out but you cant see anything looking in.

It is like that on the back doors and back windshild. Tint up front is illegal if it is that dark. I think texas is 15% max on front windows.

How about a little more info on your Runner? Year? Trim? 4wd?

Definetly tint as dark as you can since it makes a huge temp diff inside during the summer. I have 5% on the rears and just a bit lighter on the front windows.

I have 5% all the way around and 35% on the front windshield. night driving is not affected. but, i do live in the city. i've heard good things on the vortex muffler, for the money.
I'm am about to upgrade my speakers. look into MB Quart, they make great products. depending on your spending limit, these would make a good choice IMO. I also have a JL 10" sub in a custom enclosure. The downside to the enclosure is you loose the storage space of you rear compartment, the upside is that you don't have a big clunky sub box in your trunk space. heres a pick of my set up

First of all, my 4runner is a 1999 sr5 model in silver with oak cloth interior. I have 32" all terrain BFG's on it. It has NO roof rack, no stepsides, and its REAL clean. I put a K&N cold air intake into it recently.

gapboi, thanks...I'm going to do 5% all around, MAYBE 15% in front...if I get a ticket, my tint guy will "retint" for REAL cheap...

ronmaiden, I actually was planning on getting the clear corners/bumper lights on ebay, thanks for the tip I love the way they look...i LOVE your hood scoop too, but I think its too much work to get one onto mine...

snookster, that was the enclosure I was planning on getting, how much $ did u pay? and how do you like it?

Yes, my windshield is fully tinted 35%. its help being in FL with the hot sun, most of the time i don't even need sunglasses. Plus I enjoy extra caricular activities while driving and it helps less people see what I'm doing. If you catch my drift.

there really is no change in the night driving as far as looking out of the windshield goes.

BUT.... I definately wouldn't go any darker. My front windows are so dark that unless the street is well lit i really can't see anything until its too late. Mostly why I drive the 2006 RX330 at night.

I did not pay for the box, it was in the runner when I got it. But i think he got it from best buy. I love the sound, all i needed was some dynomat under the liscence plate to stop the rattle.:p :p :p ;):

and by the way, if you can still return your K&N intake i would, just do the deckplate mod. I have had both on, and there is no change in performance. only a change in price
