I have not been around for the past few weeks because I have been busy with school. I am back now and don't plan on taking any more breaks from the board! I haven't abandoned you guys yet.
OK, to make a long story short, my parents 4Runner and my 4Runner decided to develop a few warranty issues at the same time. My parents 4Runner had two seized calipers and two faulty ride height sensors (you can imagine that ride to the dealer). I brought the truck in Tuesday and ended up getting a 2011 Toyota Sienna loaner. That was an interesting experience- it was a nice vehicle but felt tougher to maneuver and park than my 4Runner. It was a stripper so there was nothing much in there (not even a remote to open all the doors). Overall, a nice car but not my cup of tea. My parents truck was ready Wednesday night so I picked it up and dropped mine off because the A/C was blowing warm. As I was pulling in, I noticed a 5th gen 4Runner with the words "Courtesy Loaner" on the back window. I ran in like a little kid and begged but the guy who gives out loaner cars was gone. They held it for me until the next morning. It was a silver SR5 with no options. I ended up driving it for the day. I actually really started enjoying the truck. I missed the automatic climate control and my V8, but otherwise it was great. I took a pic and posted a few videos of the rear park sensor and party mode just to give you a better idea.
